Glenn Beck in Israel


On August 24, 2011, IY"H, Glenn Beck will hold the Restoring Courage rally in Jerusalem. Beck received  blessing for success from Ashkenazi Cheif Rabbi, Yona Metzger, when he had the opportunity to meet with him recently. Rabbi Metzger will deliver the Tefilat L'Shalom Hamedina at the rally.

On August 24, 2011, Glenn Beck will host an event at the Davidson Center in Jerusalem. Taking place just steps from the Western Wall and the Temple Mount, this program calls for unity among all faiths, and will honor Israelis who have displayed courage in their struggle for survival and peace. It will also issue a challenge to all citizens of the world to stand with and declare their support for Israel. Joining Glenn will be religious leaders, esteemed speakers and entertainers including the Rabbi of the Western Wall, Shumuel Rabinovitch, Academy Award winning actor Jon Voight, internationally renowned singer Dudu Fisher, and the Jerusalem Great Synagogue Choir.
While tickets to watch at the Davidson Center are sold out, you can watch the program LIVE at Safra Square in Jerusalem (see directions below). Viewing at Safra Square is free and no tickets are required. Seating at Safra begins at 16:00 IDT. The event will also be broadcast internationally on GBTV.com

General Directions to Safra Square:

Safra Square is located on Jaffa Street in the center of Jerusalem, next to the Municipality building.
Due to heavy traffic in the area and closed streets, we advise all guests who plan on watching the program from Safra to take public transportation to the site.
If you travel by car, there are several parking lots located around the square:
Safra Square Parking Lot – Shivtei Israel Street (800 vehicle capacity)
Directions:
  • From French Hill (North): Take Road #1 (Chaim Bar Lev Blvd.), HaTzanchanim, Turn Right on Shivtei Israel Street.
  • From the City Entrance (West): Take Shazar Blvd., Ben Tzvi Blvd., Left on Ramban Street, Agron Street until Kikar HaMeches (Tax Square). Left to HaTzanchanim Street, Left at Kikar Tzahal (IDF Square) to Shivtei Israel Street.
  • From Hebron Road (South): Take Hebron Road, Chativat Yerushalayim, Left to Yitzhak Kariv Street until Kikar HaMeches (Tax Square), Right to HaTzanchanim Street, Left at Kikar Tzahal (IDF Square) to Shivtei Israel Street.

Directions:
  • From French Hill (North): Take Road (Chaim Bar Lev Blvd) until HaTzanchanim Tunnel. After that, turn right to Yitzhak Kariv Street.
  • From the City Entrance (West): Take Shazar Blvd., Ben Tzvi Blvd., Left on Ramban Street, Agron Street to Yitzhak Kariv Street.
  • From Hebron Road (South): Take Hebron Road, Chativat Yerushalayim, Left to Yitzhak Kariv.
